San Isabel Electric - Brendon Beach Memorial Scholarship
San Isabel Electric is offering the Brendon Beach Memorial Scholarship which was created to honor former line worker Brendon Beach, who died in an off-duty car accident in March of 2024. The full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to an applicant pursuing a career in linework and will cover all tuition and fees related to line school, excluding lodging and travel.
Eligibility requirements:
- The applicant’s primary address must be in the Association’s service territory.
- Recipients of the Brendon Beach Memorial Scholarship must enroll in line school the same year they graduate from high school.
- Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
All scholarship applicants must:
- Provide a copy of their most recent transcript or official general equivalency diploma (GED) test score.
- Provide a copy of their resume, not to exceed two (2) pages.
- Provide two (2) letters of recommendation.
- Provide a 750-word or less essay answering all the following questions:
- How will a scholarship from San Isabel Electric help you complete your degree?
- How are you unique?
- Who are your role models and how have they helped set the course of our future?
- What are some of your greatest accomplishments and challenges?
