Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship

The Merritt Family Opportunity Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a credential in the skilled trades such as welding, advanced manufacturing, precision machining and/or industrial maintenance. Merritt Aluminum Products and Merritt Trailers are industry leading companies that the Merritt family has owned and operated for 69 years. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must: Be enrolled or intend to enroll in a skilled trades program such as welding, advanced manufacturing, precision machining, and/or industrial maintenance at one of the following 13 Colorado community colleges: Arapahoe Community College, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Community College of Aurora, Community College of Denver, Front Range Community College, Lamar Community College, Morgan Community College, Northeastern Junior College, Otero College, Pikes Peak State College, Pueblo Community College, Red Rocks Community College, Trinidad State College. Complete, and submit to their college, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.ed.gov); Be eligible for in-state tuition; and Must be a US citizen or ASSET student.
