I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to receive this scholarship. After learning of the scholarship selection, my stress decreased significantly due to the fact that this money will go towards my nursing career and I will not have to work as much to keep up with the workload that comes with the program. I feel incredibly honored, humbled, and thankful for your generous scholarship to help me these next two semesters. I’m grateful that I will have more time to focus on the material and genuinely learn it, rather than just trying to get by and pass the tests. This scholarship is going to help me grow my knowledge and be able to apply it into real life situations in my future career. I am writing this letter to thank Draper-Fuentes for giving me the opportunity to continue my education degree. My plans are to graduate and get by bachelors in Early Childhood Education through Trinidad State and move on to having a classroom to give back to my community. Receiving this scholarship helps me to afford all of the books and materials required for my courses as well as some of the fees that need to be paid so that I can spend less of my time focused on finances and more of my time on doing child observations and setting up my classroom. Receiving scholarships like this one is helping me to achieve my dreams of being a teacher, having a classroom, graduating with a bachelors, and without being in debt for the rest of my life considering that teachers do not make enough money to cover the cost of the education they require.
